Head of the Religions Department at George School
Tom Hoopes is the Head of the Religions Department at George School, a Quaker international boarding high school in Bucks County. He teaches world religions, peace studies, and Theory of Knowledge, a philosophy/psychology course for 11th and 12th graders that helps students to become the narrators of their own stories. Recently he was featured on the “Quakerspeak” YouTube Channel in a video entitled, “Teaching Religion in a Friends School.” Tom has been in the education profession for 30 years, in three time zones and five states. He has been on a spiritual journey longer than that.
