Dr. Taryn Marie Stejskal is a thought leader with a prolific blog focused on cultivating her readers’ resilience and full potential. She is the author of the copyrighted “Flourish or Fold: The Five Practices of Particularly Resilient People”, which is expected to release as a book in 2020. She has written evidence-based tracks for Happify and eMindful, to promote mental health, and as an industry expert in resilience, ranging from the workplace to the home front. Her research and thought leadership have been showcased in publications such as Thrive Global, Women’s Daily Magazine, and on NBC10 in Philadelphia. Dr. Taryn will be featured in the upcoming documentary, Breaking Free, scheduled for release in 2020, and is a sought-after international inspirational speaker who regularly serves as the keynote for conferences as well as corporations.
In addition to serving as the Founder and CEO of her company, Resilience Leadership, Dr. Taryn serves as the head of Executive Leadership Development and Strategic Talent Planning for Nike. She has advised leaders in non-profit foundations as well as Fortune 100 corporations, bringing forth her purpose to help people appreciate their strengths and harness their resilience in order to reach their full potential in leadership and life.
Dr. Taryn Stejskal holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, obtained a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), and earned a doctorate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and completed pre- and post-doctoral fellowships funded by the prestigious National Institute of Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) in Neuropsychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Taryn is an invited member of Summit Series, serves as an Ambassador for The African Community and Conservation Foundation (ACCF), and enjoys global travel along with spending time with her sons, Samson and Sawyer, ages 7 and 5.
